TV Doctor

Alongside my colleague 'Dr Joe', I am the on-screen doctor for World Extreme Medicine in the hit US Reality TV Show ‘Survivor’ (CBS) (Seasons 43,44,46 and 48) I provide on-screen primary and emergency medical care for the contestants during shoot, whilst also leading a team of eight medics that cares for a large crew of 300-400 people behind the scenes.
Medical Director

I am the Joint MedicaI Director for World Extreme Medicine. Working with a talented and dynamic team, we run wilderness medicine courses across the globe, an annual international conference and provide medical cover for TV & film. Our clients include Paramount Pictures, CBS and the BBC. I co-host our podcast and live web casts in which I recruit and interview the most brilliant and adventurous minds on earth such as mountaineers, astronauts, war surgeons and elite athletes.
Expedition Doctor

I have practiced my craft all over the globe in the harshest environments: from the dramatic medevac of trekkers with severe acute mountain sickness from beneath the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, managing a suspected stroke on a train hurtling through Eastern Siberia, performing a large search and rescue operation for shipwrecked crew in remote Pacific Islands to treating burns victims in the wake of a massive forest fire in central Madagascar.
NHS GP

I love being a GP. I love the variety, the patients and the clinical problems they bring. I work on a sessional basis to release time and flexibility for everything else.

Testimonials

‘’Dr. Will has been a great asset on the Survivor production team. He always brings a positive attitude and an amazing work ethic to every situation. He oversees our medical team that takes care of our players and also our crew. When we have an on-camera medical emergency to deal with, Dr. Will is equally impressive. He is clear, comforting and confident. He can explain any situation with the pertinent medical jargon but he can just as easily explain it in layperson's terms. This gives us options for how best to tell the story when we get into the editing phase. He is also deeply committed to getting better, every single day in every way he can. We’re lucky to have him.’’
- Jeff Probst Executive Producer and Host of CBS Survivor
